We wish it was all 308 lowers but that isn't possible since there are so many variations due to the fact the AR308 was never officially given a MIL-STD. That being said we have done our best in the early days to make a list of lowers and how compatible they are with our GEN-12 upper.

Now all this being said, due to so many variations being out there, we can only GUARANTEE function and performance with the GEN-12 upper if it is on a Genesis Arms lower receiver.
Currently, SR-25 cut lowers are not compatible. AR10 lowers have no "standard" (not MILSPEC) unlike the AR15 lower. While many lowers will mate well to the GEN-12 upper receiver, the magwell may not accept the GEN-12 magazines.

Customizing an order with paint is absolutely an option! After you place your order, email support@genesisarms.com and reference the order number and what color you'd like. Some examples are FDE, OD green, Bazooka green. If you are looking for a specific pattern, such as multicam or topo, these are also options. Price varies.
A full breakdown can be found in the blog, but essentially this is a kit to retrofit into your lower, which enhances specific components/ parts of your lower to stand up to the abuse that the 12 gauge shell.
At this time we do not offer a choke install service. The 18" barrels come with a external choke thread which is the same as the Saiga12 thread pitch. This allows the shooter to order external chokes kits for the Saiga/Vepr and install them on the GEN-12 as a solution to choking the barrel.
The SBM line is not compatible with any choke (internal or external).
Our standard shotgun comes in an 18" configuration.
Our SBM line comes in 10.5" and 7".
All barrels are smooth bore.
Fiocchi ammo is the only brand of ammo we do not recommend. As long as it is 2 3/4" or 3" and 1145FPS or higher, you should be good to go with quality low and high brass ammunition.
While all barrels are chambered in 2 3/4" and 3", shot shells have no "standard". If the 3" shells do not fit easily in the magazine, do not force them. We recommend 2 3/4" shells only.
For non-serialized items, we ship UPS directly to your shipping address. Upper shipments require a signature. Any serialize item will ship to your preferred FFL. Please provide the name and phone number of the FFL in the space provided during purchase. Or fill out the "contact" form on the website.
If the GEN-12 upper receiver is modified in any way after initial purchase, the warranty is void. Please contact support@genesisarms.com for questions about custom modifications.
Shotguns by NFA standards are outfitted with a stock. Our GEN-12 other firearm is not a shotgun under the NFA but is defined as a "other".

If you make a purchase and your FFL does not accept the delivery of your product because it is not legal to possess by the laws which govern your geographic residency then the purchaser will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.
